CC Workers Evacuated in Manila Buffalo Rampage!

April 20th 2015 - Monday

About 200 contact centre workers were evacuated last week after water buffalo ran rampage through Manila.

The three-year-old female, weighing nearly half a ton, injured a total of three people with its 18-inch (46-centimetre) horns and caused the evacuation of about 200 call centre workers during its two-hour dash for freedom.

The water buffalo gored two butchers at a slaughterhouse before its two-hour bid for freedom, running through some of Manila’s busiest streets, goring a woman bystander before reaching the Cubao business district, more than 1km away. The animal entered the lobby of a small hotel and tossed some furniture before breaking into a contact centre building.

It broke some glass panels at reception, but no one was hurt, although the building had to be evacuated.
