GLIWICE CONSEQUENT IN BECOMING LOGISTICS LEADER IN SILESIA

“Gliwice as a logistics hub in Silesia” – this message should reach up to to the participants of “Investments. Logistics. Future” conference which is to be held on the 20th of March in Gold Silvia Hotel in Gliwice. The Mayor, Zygmunt Frankiewicz, for the second time invites representatives of the most important and biggest Polish and foreign companies to take part in this event.

The conference on the development perspectives of the logistics and warehouse market in Gliwice and Silesia will also be an opportunity to review the second year activity of the Silesian Logistics Cluster, which was created for promotional purposes, among others. “Logistics and warehouse market still remains a very promising sector, mainly due to the constant development of e-commerce or the relocation processes of production from Western to Central Europe”, said Zygmunt Frankiewicz, the Mayor of Gliwice. “To aquire investors, we must strongly emphasise advantages of our city and region, so that they become more noticeable than those of our competiotion”, he added.

Lecturers and listeners – developers, representatives of logistics service providers, financing institutions, universities, companies specializing in production, investments, commerce, and consulting, as well as local authorities – will take an opportunity to discuss the latest trends in the sector and their potential development and impact on Silesia. The subjects will include development of the automotive sector, possible reindustrialization or consolidation of warehouse centres.

“Investments. Logistics. Future” is going to be the second event for decision makers of the sector that will be held in Gliwice. The previous one, in the March of 2012, gathered more that 100 participants.
